History
Founded in April 2006, Inspiring Minds is the result of a compassionate idea drawn and sown together by its founder Deryck Toles. Toles, a Warren resident and former football standout envisioned starting an organization that would benefit children of all realms with the motto to "dream beyond their expectations."

Since 2006, Inspiring Minds has provided area youth with enriching opportunities and experiences to enhance their education and community participation. They have provided an after school program for grades 3rd through 12th. Their students and parents have participated in college visits, financial workshops, youth sports teams, community events and raised funds for children in need during the holiday seasons. Additionally, as a method to rewarding area students, Inspiring Minds holds a yearly banquet in which the students are recognized for their achievements and have an opportunity to earn partial scholarships for post-secondary education.

One of our goals is to equip our youth with the necessary tools to escape the fear of failure and limitations by exposing our youth to successful professionals that have overcome similar obstacles. We use our network of celebrities, professional athletes and business professionals to mentor our students into discovering their talents and gifts that will pave the way for the achievement of their own goals.

While stressing education, positive self-esteem and discipline Inspiring Minds aims to raise a new generation of youth that will be equipped to be the leaders of their communities.
