Components

Education Component
The Inspiring Minds After School Program develops health and wellness, improves grades and provides positive mentoring for hundreds of youth locally. We teach our youth to use their free time for opportunities to be creative, while creating a positive sense of self-worth. While using a very unique and dynamic teaching method, The Inspiring Minds After School Program will provide a place where underprivileged youth from the city of Warren can experience a safe and structured atmosphere to participate in educational assistance, personal development, community service, special events & recreational sports. This program will provide health and wellness along with the opportunity to learn social, economical and leadership skills. This will be accomplished by using four six week quarters that have a themed curriculum, with each session consisting of an icebreaker, educational component (including homework and OGT assistance), personal development  (including  relative skits & games),  and a final project which will represent the completion of the program.

Exposure Component
The Special Events Committee exposes our students to things that they normally do not have an opportunity to see.  We believe that new experiences promote the development of new dreams and goals.

This component provides students up close and personal experiences that encourage them to broaden their horizons.  We show them the business behind the  scenes of what they see on television.  These experiences explain why they DO NOT have to be the next star athlete or musician to be successful.  Instead, own a professional  team, manage a platinum recording artist, own a record label, represent celebrities or be a media personality.

Community Service Component
While giving back, we teach our youth the importance of taking ownership of their community.  We require our students to get involved in community projects,  events, other organizations & fund raisers.  We believe that in order to create sustainability for our organization we must prepare a generation  of young adults that will take what we have started to the next level.

Athletic Component
Athletics play a large role in the lives of our youth, especially in economically depressed areas. In each of our male & female sports programs (football, baseball, softball, cheerleading, boxing), we teach teamwork, accountability, work ethic, the importance of education, goal setting and perseverance.  Each team is run professionally by trained and experienced coaches with the focus on applying principles that will benefit our youth in the future.  Each coach realizes that they are a walking example and role model for our athletes.
